ICAIB Headquarters in Inca
The ICAIB headquarters is a contemporary architectural intervention, seamlessly integrated into the urban pattern of Inca. At its core, the building revolves around a central entrance courtyard: an open, welcoming space that serves as the heart of the design. This courtyard, with its natural light and airflow, creates a dynamic connection between interior and exterior while offering a calm and protected environment for those who pass through. It becomes not only a visual centerpiece but also a functional space that adapts to users' needs, fostering interaction and exchange in an environment that is both private and open.
The building is designed within flexibility concept. Spaces are organized to allow for various configurations, responding to ICAIB’s evolving requirements. The open, flowing layout encourages collaboration, while independent entrances and movable partitions allow spaces to be reconfigured as needed. This approach ensures that the building remains relevant and functional, meeting both individual and collective needs.
Surrounding materials such as marés stone, wood, and lime mortar establish a connection with the local architectural heritage while contributing to the building’s solid and timeless presence. The use of these materials, combined with a layout that prioritizes human-scale spaces, reinforces a sense of place and continuity—making the ICAIB headquarters a modern yet deeply rooted addition to Inca’s architectural landscape.
