Hotel Terrassa Confort
An existing hotel in an industrial area south of Terrassa, a place with little character or charm in its surroundings. Our intervention focused entirely on the interior: a broader gesture in the entrance–reception area and a more intimate one across the 74 rooms.
In the lobby, our aim was to slow the pace, inviting guests to enter a calmer rhythm shaped by warm lighting and carefully chosen materials. Comfort, openness and warmth guided the design. The reception and bar–dining area share one continuous space, unified by microcement flooring and walnut-lined walls that define the reception and lounge zones. Soft, warm lighting, from the ceiling and hanging fixtures, multiplies through the mirrored wall, amplifying the sense of stillness.
Beyond the reception, corridors maintain this slower rhythm through dark tones on floors and ceilings.
In the rooms, a neutral wall covering wraps the space, adding warmth. A single custom-made piece of furniture gathers all elements - curtains, lighting, luggage bench, existing window, storage and desk - bringing order and coherence while avoiding visual clutter.
Working on a partial renovation has been enriching transforming spaces almost solely through color and witnessing how perception shifts, revealing the calm we sought from the very beginning.
