Palace of Justice in Gandía

The project is based on the idea of a single building articulated by courtyards, which allow for efficient floor depths and ensure natural lighting and ventilation in most spaces. The proposal is defined as two juxtaposed cloisters, whose internal patios structure the organization and enhance environmental comfort.

The union of both volumes creates shifts that increase the façade surface and provide greater uniformity across all orientations. As a public facility, the building aims to create civic meeting spaces, linking itself to the urban regeneration process of the Santa Anna sector.

The volume is set back to the north and south to open two large entrance atriums: one public and one private. The building rises over a platform that resolves level differences and provides a symbolic and institutional character characteristic of this building typology.

The interior organization is clear and legible from the large triple-height lobby. A central circulation core articulates the north–south and east–west axes, connecting the different programs on each floor. The relationship between public and private areas is carefully separated to ensure privacy, security, and independent functioning.
